On a political campaign, half the battle is having the best tools at your disposal; the other half is deploying them correctly and to greatest strategic effect. As Senior Strategist on our Political Client Services team, you will be responsible for working intimately with our high profile political campaign and Super PAC clients’ campaign teams to integrate Applecart’s analytics offerings seamlessly into their operations and ensure the highest possible client satisfaction and return on investment (ROI). Your work will directly impact our clients in the form of changing election outcomes, increasing political fundraising yields, and optimizing campaign spending and operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with Applecart’s Founders, as well as a team of data scientists and data analysts to deliver Applecart’s products 
  • Serve as the primary or secondary Applecart point of contact for client campaign strategists, pollsters, and other sophisticated client stakeholders, in order to ensure successful integration and delivery of Applecart’s products on an ongoing basis during client campaigns
  • Participate in frequent client campaign strategy calls as a confident, expert data-driven strategist, who fosters client trust through responsiveness and results
  • Problem solve creatively in real-time to craft and deliver data-driven solutions to client campaign challenges on tight timelines
  • Manage a supporting team of analysts to deliver quality analytics products to clients with impeccable attention to detail
  • Communicate and present clearly, comfortably, and expertly about key political strategy and political data concepts, internally and externally, verbally and in written form

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three years experience in a strategic, managerial role for a political campaign, Super PAC, committee, or political strategy firm
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluency and substantial experience with polling, microtargeting, and political data concepts
  • Strong passion for data-driven political strategy
  • Experience and success at managing multiple tight and often conflicting timelines, while maintaining a cool confidence
  • Comfortable and confident wearing multiple hats, as both a servant and strategist to our clients
  • Take a “player-coach” approach to management: most comfortable when both managing and getting your hands dirty
  • Maintains outstanding attention to detail and takes the quality of work “personally”
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel) a must

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, highly collaborative, dynamic work environment.
  • History of being a self-starter.
  • Prior experience in a client services role, internal or external (donor, candidate, or client), a major plus
  • SQL experience, a plus
