Director of Customer Success; Applecart Political

Applecart seeks a motivated client relations specialist to lead the sales and marketing effort for our political products. Applecart deploys proprietary technology that powers political campaigns, advocacy groups, and corporations that are serious about winning. We work with some of the nation’s most prominent political groups, corporations, and non-profit organizations to activate and communicate with key target audiences at cutting-edge scale and efficiency. Part high-level strategic consultancy, part cutting edge data R+D lab, Applecart offers proven solutions derived from objective, iterative experimentation.

Our core offering is a proprietary social graph that leverages publicly-available data to map real-world relationships between individuals at national scale to help our clients identify, persuade, mobilize, and fundraise with unparalleled efficacy.

As Director of Client Success for our political products, you will be responsible for working intimately with our Founders and Partners to manage all aspects of a robust, national sales pipeline from prospecting new clients to client contract signing. Your work will directly impact our clients in the form of changing election outcomes, increasing political fundraising yields, and optimizing campaign spending and operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage a prospecting pipeline that expands Applecart’s footprint in the political market and converts high profile political campaigns, committees, and Super PACs to clients
  • Work collaboratively with Applecart’s Founders and Partners to schedule and deliver compelling presentations at client pitch meetings
  • Develop and maintain eye-catching marketing materials (decks, web content, case studies, etc.) that resonate with potential clients and help the product “sell itself”
  • Serve as the primary Applecart point of contact for prospective clients during the sales and contracting process
  • Develop creative marketing and partnership programs that further Applecart political revenue growth
  • Travel frequently to client pitch meetings and networking opportunities
  • Foster potential client trust through responsiveness and results
  • Communicate and present clearly, comfortably, and expertly about key political strategy concepts, verbally and in written form

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of work experience in a fundraising, communications, strategy, or managerial role for a political campaign, Super PAC, committee, or firm
  • Prior experience in a customer service role, internal or external (donor, candidate, or client)
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluency with polling, microtargeting, and political data concepts
  • Passion for politics and technology
  • Experience and success at managing multiple tight and often conflicts timelines, while maintaining a cool confidence
  • Willingness to travel frequently for work
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Comfortable and practiced in “making a sale”
  • Expert Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Comfortable working in a fast paced, highly collaborative, dynamic work environment.
  • History of being a self-starter.
  • Existing relationships with political organizations, candidates, and/or donors
  • Some graphic design experience, a plus
